For2Feet Scooter Training was the first comprehensive roadside scooter safety course developed in the UK.
Scooting is faster and loads more fun than walking, it’s safer and cheaper than riding a bike and without the punctures. It's no wonder that scooters are now one of the most popular types of transport for children aged 4 to 10 years. However, with an increase in usage comes an increase in accidents.
Our unique training program aims to reduce the number of scooter accidents and promote scooting as a healthy, sustainable and quick way to travel to school.
Training is designed for Key Stage 1 children.
The main causes of child scooter accidents are used to form the basis of our training.
All this information has been carefully crafted into a fun interactive programme of playground based games and activities followed by a road safety based, roadside scooter adventure along the pavements where the children will be scooting to school.
All training fits perfectly for schools to complete their TfL Travel For Life School Travel initiatives. Evaluation questionnaires are sent to all schools and details relayed back to the Councils. Feedback received is always very positive as shown below.
"The children loved the training and talked about it for most of the week. I think it's great that there is practical road safety training for the younger children too. Would love to take part in the training again." - Waltham Forest 2025
"This was a thoroughly enjoyable session. The trainers were very clear and covered important aspects of scooter safety that were new to the children." - Waltham Forest 2025
