Our Pedestrian Training has been specially developed to provide children with the knowledge and skills necessary for independent journeys.
The main causes of child pedestrian accidents are used to form the basis of our training. Training includes:
Training is for Key Stage 2 children and all takes place in small groups at the roadside. Each session lasts approximately 45 minutes. The lively engaging and interactive sessions ensure children return to class safer, smarter more confident pedestrians
All of our training supports TFL’s Travel For Life programme and encourages safer smarter travel to school.
Evaluation questionnaires are sent to all schools and details relayed back to the Councils. Feedback received is always very positive as shown below.
"I just wanted to say thank you so much for all of your help in organising the Pedestrian Training that took place today. The trainers were both brilliant with the children and had a really friendly approach that worked very well with the children. The children who participated really loved the sessions and I'm so glad we were able to participate." - London Borough of Kensington and Chelsea - June 2025
